The Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan has published an updated list of foreign higher education institutions whose diplomas will be recognized in the country in 2025. The list is based on the world's leading university rankings, including the Moscow International Ranking "Three University Missions", the World University Rankings 2025, the QS World University Rankings 2025 and the Academic Ranking of World Universities 2025 (Shanghai Ranking).
According to the Ministry of Education, a procedure for recognizing a diploma (nostrification) is provided for citizens who have received an education abroad. Nostrification is a procedure for recognizing educational documents obtained outside of Turkmenistan in order to establish their equivalence to national educational documents and give them legal force in the country.
