President of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rifkat Minnikhanov was awarded the jubilee medal “For the 300th Anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi” and a commemorative sign in accordance with the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting with the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Rifkat Minnikhanov expressed sincere gratitude for the award and noted that it was a great honor for him to visit Ashgabat during the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the great poet Magtymguly Fragi.

In turn, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the importance of the activities of the Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Tatarstan in studying and popularizing the literary heritage of Magtymguly.

Turkmenistan and Tatarstan actively cooperate in the fields of science and education, and also hold joint cultural events that help strengthen ties between the regions. Rifkat Minnikhanov noted the importance of developing science and introducing innovative technologies into the economy of Turkmenistan.
