From February 2 to 4, the Turkmenistan judo team will perform at the international “Grand Slam” tournament in Paris. 680 athletes from 108 countries will take part in the competition in 7 men's and 7 women's weight categories.
Turkmenistan will be represented at the tournament by 8 judokas, according to the official website of the International Judo Federation (IJF).
The men's team of Turkmenistan included: Aybek Omirov (weight category up to 60 kg), Serdar Rahimov, Hekim Agamammedov (up to 66 kg), Mamedali Achildyev (up to 90 kg) and Baymyrat Majanov (up to 100 kg).
The women's team will be represented by: Kurbanay Kurbanova (up to 48 kg), Maysa Pardayeva (up to 57 kg) and Zulhumar Dashkinova (up to 63 kg).
Let us remind that the total prize fund of the Paris tournament is 154 thousand euros. Judoists will receive 5 thousand euros for gold, 3 thousand euros for silver, and 1,5 thousand euros for bronze.
