In Bucharest, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to Romania, Annamammet Annaev, and the co-chairman of the Romanian part of the interparliamentary Turkmen-Romanian friendship group, Anquetil Colchar.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the parties discussed current issues of bilateral cooperation, as well as prospects for further interaction.

The political-diplomatic, trade-economic, fuel-energy, transport-communications and cultural-humanitarian spheres were identified as priority areas of cooperation. Positive interaction was noted at the interparliamentary level.

In order to strengthen ties through cultural and humanitarian exchanges, the parties agreed to hold joint events on the occasion of the 300th anniversary of the birth of the Turkmen poet and thinker Magtymguly Fragi.
