Manchester City head coach Pep Guardiola, who underwent surgery, has returned to work with the team, according to the English football club's Twitter account.
The Spanish coach underwent planned back surgery in Barcelona on August 22, after which he was recovering in a medical center.
During Guardiola's absence, his duties were performed by assistant Juan Lillo. Guardiola missed the English Championship matches against Sheffield United (2:1) and Fulham (5:1).
Manchester City, under the leadership of Guardiola, won the Champions League last season, and also became the champion and winner of the FA Cup. On August 16, the team defeated the Spanish Sevilla in a penalty shootout and won the UEFA Super Cup for the first time in history.
At the end of August, he was recognized as the coach of the 2022/23 season according to the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
