A draft law on the introduction of a system of fines for violating the law on advertising labeling has been sent to the State Duma of Russia for consideration, the Vc.ru portal reports with reference to the website of the State Duma of the Russian Federation.
According to the bill, fines are provided for the distribution of advertising without an appropriate identifier or for violation of the requirements for its placement. Fines vary from 30 to 100 thousand rubles for citizens, from 100 to 200 thousand for officials and from 200 to 500 thousand for legal entities.
The operator of advertising data must receive from the advertiser information about the advertised product (description of the object of advertising, information about the sites where the advertisement will be published, data on the timing of the placement of ads) and transfer this data to the appropriate supervisory authority.
The new law will apply to advertisers, advertisers, advertising data operators and advertising systems.
