A new textile enterprise has opened in the Davlatabad district of the Uzbek city of Namangan, reports the Podrobno.uz website, based on information provided by the Namangan hokimiyat.
The factory was jointly launched by the Uzbek enterprise “Fazman textile” and the German clothing brand Hugo Boss. It is under this brand that the new factory will produce men's, as well as women's and children's clothing.
The cost of the project amounted to 40 million USD. At present time, with the launch of the enterprise, it employs 1500 people, in the future, with the expansion of production, the number of jobs is planned to increase to three thousand.
The workshops of the enterprise are equipped with equipment from Germany and Türkiye. The factory's capacity is up to 1 million units of finished products, it is expected that the volume of annual exports of products will amount to 15 million USD.
