An online meeting was held between employees of the Turkmen State Puppet Theater and the Yerevan State Puppet Theater, “Turkmenistan: Golden Age” reports.

The meeting was organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan and the diplomatic mission of our country in Yerevan.

Aymammed Ishankuliev, Head of the Department of Acting and Stage Speech of the Theater Faculty of the Turkmen State Institute of Culture, greeted his colleagues and made an overview of the activities of the Turkmen puppet theater. In the story about the history of the theater, it was noted that the Yerevan public had the opportunity to get acquainted with the work of the troupe during the tour, which took place in 2014 on the stage of the Yerevan State Puppet Theater named after Hovhannes Tumanyan.

Director of the puppet theater Ruben Abrahamyan, for his part, invited his Turkmen colleagues to take a virtual tour of the backstage, telling about the peculiarities of the creative activity of the theater, which has been leading its history since 1987.

The repertoire of the Yerevan State Puppet Theater includes performances for children and adults, folk tales and performances based on foreign classics.

As it was noted during the video meeting, the acquaintance with the activities of the Yerevan Puppet Theater opens up a new direction of cooperation for the Turkmen stage masters and will allow the establishment of a mutually beneficial dialogue between specialists from various services of the two theaters, including puppet masters.

The participants of the video bridge expressed their wish in the future to maintain professional and friendly ties between theaters and, as soon as such an opportunity arises, to exchange creative visits.
