A business delegation from Turkmenistan paid a working visit to Istanbul

A Turkmen delegation led by Mergen Gurdov, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, paid a working visit to Istanbul on June 26–27 to hold talks with the heads of leading Turkish economic and business associations.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, a meeting took place on June 27 with Adem Kula, Secretary General of the Union of Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Turkic States. The parties discussed deepening multilateral economic cooperation across the region of Turkic states.The importance of involving Turkmenistan’s business entities in joint initiatives aimed at developing trade and industrial cooperation, as well as establishing sustainable production and logistics chains, was highlighted.

During negotiations with Ali Kopuz, First Vice President of the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Türkiye (TOBB), the parties discussed strengthening ties between the two countries' trade and industrial organizations, expanding business contacts, and creating favorable conditions for the further growth of bilateral economic cooperation.

Following these meetings, the parties emphasized the importance of further expanding mutually beneficial cooperation, increasing the volume of bilateral trade, and implementing new joint investment and production projects, the source notes.
