Preparations are underway for the first meeting of the Turkmen-Slovak Commission on Economic Cooperation

At a government meeting on Friday, the President of Turkmenistan signed a resolution establishing and approving the composition of the Turkmen-Slovak Joint Commission on Economic Cooperation.

During the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister H. Geldimyradov reported on preparations for the commission's first meeting. The upcoming meeting will discuss prospects for partnership in trade and economics, fuel and energy, construction, transport and communications, and information technology, as well as in areas such as agriculture, environmental protection, healthcare and medical science, education, culture, sports, and tourism, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan maintains productive cooperation with European countries, including the Slovak Republic. Having signed a resolution to implement the Agreement on Economic Cooperation between the Government of Turkmenistan and the Government of the Slovak Republic, as well as to further develop cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Slovak Republic, the head of state instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to carry out the necessary work.
