Turkmen President Serdar Berdimuhamedov sent condolences to Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos following the devastating earthquake on the island of Mindanao, which claimed many lives in the country, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reported.
On behalf of the people and government of Turkmenistan, as well as on his own behalf, the head of state expressed deep condolences to the families of the victims and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
A magnitude 7,8 earthquake struck Sarangani province in southern Mindanao and surrounding areas on Monday morning, according to the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology.
