In Ashgabat, within the framework of the celebrations marking the Turkmen Carpet Festival, a ceremony was held to present a special diploma from the International Organization of Turkic Culture (TURKSOY) to the State Association "Türkmenhaly" ("Turkmen Carpet") for its contribution to the development of carpet crafts in the Turkic world, as well as certificates of appreciation to the best craftswomen in the industry.

Speaking at the ceremony, TURKSOY Secretary General Sultan Rayev emphasized that today Turkmenistan is widely celebrating the Turkmen Carpet Festival – a priceless treasure not only of the Turkmen people, but of the entire Turkic world, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.

As noted, carpets are not simply textiles, but a material treasure that embodies the historical roots, artistic creativity, and spiritual heritage of the Turkic peoples, making a significant contribution to world culture.

In this regard, Sultan Raev, on behalf of the International Organization of Turkic Culture, thanked the State Association "Türkmenhaly" and the best carpet weavers for their achievements in developing and improving the ancient craft of carpet weaving in modern conditions and presented them with a special diploma and certificates of appreciation.
