Japanese automobile corporation Toyota Motor sold more than 10,47 million vehicles in its 2025 fiscal

year, which ended March 31, 2025. According to company data, this set a new sales record for the first

time in two years, TASS reports.

Toyota's global sales increased by 2% year-on-year. International sales increased by 2,7% to 9 million

units, while domestic sales in Japan decreased by 2% to 1,48 million vehicles.

These record figures were achieved against a backdrop of a number of unfavorable factors. In particular,

trade tariffs imposed by the Trump administration put particular pressure on the Japanese auto

industry. Furthermore, exports to the Middle East fell sharply in March—by 46,4%—due to the

escalating situation around Iran following the US and Israeli strikes.
