Under the wise leadership of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the education system is developing in our country along with all industries. Currently, with the development of information and communication technologies, data exchange has acquired new forms. In this regard, on September 15, 2017, by the Decree of the distinguished President of Turkmenistan, the Concept for the Development of the Digital Education System of Turkmenistan was adopted.

It is known, the main tasks of the document are the consistent improvement of the activities of educational institutions, the widespread use of digital resources, the enrichment of the educational process and ensuring its compliance with world standards. As a result, in the higher educational institutions of our country, international projects are being carried out to introduce and develop a digital educational environment. One of these projects is the international project “Modernization of Higher education in Central Asia through New Technologies”. The project participants are higher educational institutions of such countries as Turkmenistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Kazakhstan and 4 European universities in Bulgaria, Italy, Portugal and Luxembourg. The partners from Turkmenistan are the International University for the Humanities and Development, Oguz Khan Engineering and Technological University of Turkmenistan, State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan, and t Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan.

The main goals of the consortium are to adapt the education system of the partner countries to the digital generation by introducing innovative educational technologies and didactic models into the educational process and effectively implementing them; expanding the international dimension of education and training by strengthening links between universities, sharing experiences and best practices in digital pedagogy.

Another important aspect is the theme of equipping centers of innovative educational technologies and interactive classrooms in partner universities. Such audiences will create an opportunity for everyone to learn anytime, anywhere, using any available electronic device.

By achieving these goals, the project will help turn universities into partners to innovative universities and improve the quality of training the specialists required to carry out the digital transformation of the industry. Processes for the digitalization of economic systems have been deployed all over the world, which caused an increase in demand for high-qualified information technology specialists. Turkmenistan, in turn, has launched the implementation of the seven-year Concept for the Development of the Digital Economy, the first stage of which provides for the adoption of systemic measures to improve the qualifications of the personnel.

Higher educational institutions are also actively involved in the process of forming high-class specialists who will practically promote the implementation of urgent tasks. The project will help improve the quality of training of specialists who are required to carry out the digital transformation of all industries.

The project “Modernization of Higher Education in Central Asia through New Technologies” aims to motivate young people to enrich their knowledge through the latest educational technologies and didactic models and turn them into successful solutions for industry and social innovation, which contributes to improving the competencies of all representatives of innovative ecosystems.
