From July 14 to 25, an international training course “Caspian Sea – Sustainable Development and Management” for representatives of the five Caspian states is being held in Ashgabat at the conference hall of the “Archabil” hotel.
The course is organized with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the organizational support of the Institute of the Caspian Sea of the country and the International Institute of the Oceans.
Traditionally, a wide range of lecturers whose professional profile is related to various areas of marine studies are invited to conduct the course, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age”.
Representatives of the relevant ministries, the state corporations “Turkmengaz” and “Turkmennebit”, and the State Corporation “Turkmengeology” participated in the lectures from Turkmenistan.
The goal of such events, which have become a traditional component of Caspian interaction, is to strengthen mutual understanding, form the basis for the development of scientific contacts, and achieve an understanding of the need for consolidation in the formation of a basis for planning management at sea, the development of its rich natural resources, and the protection of the ecology of the marine environment, the source notes.
