The UNFPA global report on the State of World Population 2025, “The Real Fertility Crisis: Fulfilling Reproductive Aspirations in a Changing World,” was presented on July 11 at the "Yyldyz" hotel in Ashgabat.
The event was organized by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Representative Office in Turkmenistan.
The event, whose theme was “Empowering young people to build the families they want in a just and hopeful world,” was dedicated to World Population Day.
“World Population Day reminds us of the need to listen to the voices of young people and take into account their legitimate concerns about their future,” said Kemal Goshlyev, UNFPA Representative in Turkmenistan.
The event included an exhibition of watercolor works by participants in the art competition “Family Begins with Desire and Support,” held by the UNFPA Representative Office in Turkmenistan. The winners of the competition were awarded prizes, reports “Turkmenistan: Golden Age.”
