The open joint-stock company "Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan" (TULM) organized the dispatch of a test container train, assembled in the Chinese city of Zhejiang, to the international seaport of Baku. This was reported on the website of the agency "Türkmendeňizderýaýollary" ("Sea and River Routes of Turkmenistan").
The train, consisting of 50 40-foot containers, passed through the territory of Kazakhstan and the border railway crossing of Turkmenistan in the direction of the international seaport of Baku.
The test train was sent to the city of Baku from the international seaport of Turkmenbashy on board a Turkmen national feeder vessel, the source notes.
TULM, being the operator of container transportation on the railways of Turkmenistan, continues to carry out large-scale cargo transportation of various types within the framework of international multimodal transport and transit corridors.
