Turkmen wrestler won bronze at Asian Cadet Championships in Bishkek

Turkmen Greco-Roman wrestler Jeyhun Khakberdyev won a bronze medal at the Asian Championship among cadets (U-15) in the capital of Kyrgyzstan.

In the fight for bronze in the 52 kg category, in which 9 athletes competed for the awards, Jeyhun defeated Indian representative Shivananda Yadav with a score of 3:1.

The champion in this weight category was Samga Yermek from Kazakhstan, who defeated Uzbek wrestler Samandar Madaminov in the final with a score of 4:0. Another bronze medalist was Chong Rui Li from Chinese Taipei.

At the Asian Cadet Championships, the Turkmenistan team is represented by seven wrestlers in two disciplines.

In freestyle wrestling, the country is represented by Hemra Halmyradov (38 kg), Meret Durdyev (44 kg), Kemal Charyev (48 kg) and Muhammetaly Parahadov (52 kg).

In Greco-Roman wrestling, Turkmenistan is represented by Jeyhun Hakberdyev (52 kg), Yslam Abdullayev (57 kg) and Annagylych Orazgylyjov (62 kg).
