On July 4, a meeting was held between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning of the Federal Republic of Nigeria Abubakar Atiku Bagudu. During the talks, the parties discussed a wide range of issues related to the development of cooperation between the two countries, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
In order to intensify bilateral relations, the head of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs handed over to the Niger side a diplomatic note with a proposal to establish diplomatic relations between Turkmenistan and the Federal Republic of Nigeria, as well as a draft of the corresponding bilateral document.
