National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslakhaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated his compatriots on the second anniversary of the opening of the city of Arkadag, the first “smart city” in the region, the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports.
In his congratulatory message, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that the city of Arkadag embodies the economic prosperity of the country and the happy life of the Turkmen people. According to him, the new city is "a perfect work of art created by white marble buildings on the sacred Turkmen land."
In two years, Arkadag has formed the spheres of public services, employment and leisure. Digital systems have been introduced in residential buildings, and social amenities have been created for residents. Modern kindergartens, schools, medical institutions, sports and cultural facilities have been built in the city.
The National Leader emphasized that a lot of work has been done to ensure the environmental cleanliness of the city, as evidenced by the certificates of authoritative international organizations awarded to Arkadag.
The Arkadag City Development Concept for 2024-2052 is currently being implemented. The construction of the second stage of the "smart city" continues with the construction of new residential buildings, industrial production facilities and social infrastructure facilities. The delivery of the facilities is scheduled for 2027.
The construction of the city created thousands of new jobs and provided comfortable housing for thousands of citizens of Turkmenistan, which demonstrates the success of the state policy of supporting the population.
