President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received the executive vice president of the Japanese company Itochu Corporation, chairman of the Japan-Turkmenistan Committee on Economic Cooperation Hiroyuki Tsubai. This was reported by the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
The businessman noted the high interest of Japanese business circles in working on the Turkmen market, where a favorable investment climate and the necessary conditions for effective cooperation have been created.
The President of Turkmenistan emphasized the long-term and strategic nature of the Turkmen-Japanese partnership, based on the principles of mutual respect and support. He recalled his visit to Japan in April of this year, during which high-level talks were held and important agreements were reached.
Tsubai emphasized the importance of the proposals and initiatives voiced by the President of Turkmenistan at a meeting with representatives of Japanese business. According to him, measures are currently being taken to implement them.
The parties discussed the current state and prospects for the development of bilateral cooperation. The significant contribution of Japanese companies to the realization of the economic potential of both countries was noted.
The President of Turkmenistan reported that large Japanese companies have already implemented a number of projects in the country's gas and chemical industries. At the same time, there are opportunities to expand constructive partnership in new areas.
