The Turkmen delegation took part in the 176th session of the General Assembly of the International Exhibitions Bureau (BIE), which was held on June 17 in Paris. This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
The Turkmen delegation was represented by: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary, Permanent Representative of Turkmenistan to the BIE Maksat Charyev, Chairman of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Mergen Gurdov, and Head of the Department of Exhibitions and Fairs of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan Kemal Amanov.
The President of the Administrative and Budgetary Committee, Karen-Mae Hill, thanked the Government of Turkmenistan, highly appreciating the holding of the meeting of the Administrative and Budgetary Committee of the BIE in Ashgabat on 17-19 March. She emphasized that this meeting was a historic event, since for the first time in the history of the Bureau such a meeting was held outside Paris.
During the session, reports were heard on the preparations for the upcoming international exhibitions.
