Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan will hold Culture Days in 2025

Trade relations between Azerbaijan and Central Asian countries demonstrate sustainable economic growth, actively strengthening within the framework of mutual cooperation. This was stated by Deputy Foreign Minister of Azerbaijan Samir Sharifov at the opening of the event "Multifaceted cooperation between Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan: achievements and prospects" held in Baku, Report informs.

According to the diplomat, Azerbaijan's relations with the Central Asian countries occupy a special place in the country's regional policy. "Our nations are linked by a centuries-old history of relations. After gaining independence, our states have been developing cooperation both bilaterally and multilaterally. Strategic partnership relations have been established between Azerbaijan and the Central Asian countries," Sharifov noted.

The Deputy Minister emphasized that one of the key priorities of Azerbaijan’s foreign policy is strengthening cooperation with the Turkic world.

Particular attention is paid to the development of humanitarian and cultural ties. "Azerbaijan and Turkmenistan also cooperate in the humanitarian and cultural spheres. A decision has been made to hold Culture Days in both countries in 2025 on a reciprocal basis," the diplomat said.

Sharifov also noted the importance of multilateral dialogue: "At the same time, much attention is paid to cooperation within international organizations. Expanding the dialogue within the Organization of Turkic States opens the way to the development of our countries."
