On June 14, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Turkmenistan Ivan Volynkin sent written messages to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the letters expressed gratitude from the Russian side “for assistance provided during the landing of a Russian airliner on the Novosibirsk-Dubai route at the Ashgabat International Airport on June 13, 2025.”
In particular, it was noted that during the entire stay at Ashgabat airport, 170 passengers, including 22 children and 10 crew members, were provided with food, drinks and a full range of services, the source notes.
Let us remind that Turkmenistan immediately provided conditions for the unimpeded use of airspace for all aircraft of foreign airlines that were forced to change their routes due to the current situation in the Middle East.
