The delegation of Turkmenistan headed by Deputy Prime Minister N.Atagulyev took part in the Tashkent International Investment Forum, which was held from June 9 to 11.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the heads of state and government of Bulgaria, Slovakia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Azerbaijan, as well as heads of a number of foreign companies and representatives of the media took part in the forum.
Among the high-ranking guests were the President of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development Odile Renaud-Basso and the President of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff. The First National Exhibition of Industrial and Investment Potential of Uzbekistan, where more than 90 leading companies were presented, was held within the framework of the forum. The exhibition gave investors the opportunity to form a comprehensive idea of projects ready for implementation and cooperation opportunities.
In his speech, N.Atagulyev noted that the Tashkent International Investment Forum is an important platform for studying business opportunities in Uzbekistan, implementing projects based on the development of the logistics system, establishing cooperation with business and government circles, and entering the markets of Central Asia.
Within the framework of the forum program, N.Atagulyev was received by the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev. During the meeting, current issues of further development of Turkmen-Uzbek relations of friendship, good neighborliness and deep strategic partnership were discussed.
