Yesterday, Turkmenistan's Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the executive director of the “Turkmenistan-USA” Business Council, Eric Stewart.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the trade and economic sphere, fuel and energy sector, transport and communications, industry, agriculture, high technology and others were named among the current areas of bilateral cooperation.
The possibilities of intensifying contacts in such important areas as cybersecurity, green technologies and education were also considered. Particular emphasis was placed on the activities of the “Turkmenistan-USA” Business Council and its role in strengthening interstate relations.
R. Meredov expressed the commitment of the Government of Turkmenistan to expanding trade and economic cooperation with business structures of the United States. At the same time, the long-term positive contribution of American companies to the development of various spheres of the Turkmen economy was noted.
