The legendary queen of detective fiction, Agatha Christie, will be “revived” using artificial intelligence technologies to conduct an exclusive course in writing on the BBC Maestro platform, daily.afisha.ru reports with reference to The Independent.

Actress Vivien Keen is involved in creating the virtual image of the writer, whose appearance will be transformed by AI to achieve maximum similarity with Christie, who passed away in 1976. The voice of the famous writer will be recreated based on surviving audio materials.

The educational course will consist of 11 lessons, each up to 20 minutes long. The materials for them are prepared based on Christie’s works and her archival interviews. Experts have identified the key principles of the writer’s creative method, including approaches to structuring the plot, creating characters and techniques for achieving suspense.

The cost of the course will be 79 pounds sterling. Alternatively, those interested can take out an annual subscription to BBC Maestro for 120 pounds, which will also open access to other educational programs, including a course from the modern writer Jojo Moyes.

Agatha Christie, born in Devon in 1890, began writing as a child. Her first published novel, The Mysterious Affair at Styles (1920), introduced readers to Hercule Poirot, and in 1927 the famous Miss Marple appeared. Christie’s work is recognized as a classic of the 20th-century detective genre.
