On April 2, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov held a meeting with the new regional coordinator of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) for Central Asia, Serhan Aktoprak.
Congratulating the guest on his appointment to the new position, R. Meredov expressed hope for the continuation of a fruitful partnership, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.
During the exchange of views on new areas of cooperation between Turkmenistan and IOM, the interlocutors outlined joint tasks for further expansion of cooperation.
It was noted that issues of ensuring the rights of refugees and stateless persons, combating human trafficking are considered priority areas of partnership.
