Turkmenistan develops leadership competencies of civil servants with EU support

A training course "Male and Female Leadership: Effectiveness in Interaction" for representatives of ministries and departments of Turkmenistan was held in Ashgabat from March 11 to 13. The event was organized within the framework of the project "Turkmenistan: Trade Sustainability and Integration", funded by the European Union and implemented by the International Trade Center.

The main goal of the training was to develop leadership qualities and communication skills of civil servants, as well as to improve the efficiency of teamwork management. Participants studied the psychology of leadership, critical thinking and decision-making processes, the organizers of the event told Turkmenportal.

During interactive sessions, civil servants defined their own leadership styles, identified strengths, and outlined paths for further development. Particular attention was paid to differences in approaches to leadership between men and women and the impact of inclusive governance on the performance of government agencies.

The practical part of the training included practicing public speaking skills, methods of building effective communications and strategies for teamwork. Participants examined real situations requiring the use of leadership skills to solve problems in the area of motivation management, delegation of authority and conflict resolution.
