Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov extended an invitation to the President of the UAE Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan to attend the International Forum for Peace and Trust, which will be held on December 12, 2025 in Ashgabat. The invitation was presented during a meeting with the Vice President of the UAE Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, TDH reports.
During the meeting, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized the special importance of the participation of the UAE leader in the upcoming forum, which is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality and will be held within the framework of the “International Year of Peace and Trust” declared by the UN.
The UAE representative, In turn, assured that the United Arab Emirates traditionally supports Turkmen initiatives put forward at the UN platform and aimed at strengthening peace and stability.
The parties also discussed prospects for expanding bilateral relations, noting that cooperation with the UAE is one of the priorities of Turkmenistan’s foreign policy. Particular attention was paid to the need to strengthen partnership in the fields of culture, science, education and art, including holding mutual Days of Cultures and specialized exhibitions.
