Energy, industry, transport and high technologies are priority areas of Turkmen-Indian cooperation, said Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan for Trade, Textile Complex and Private Sector Nokerguly Atagulyev.

During a speech at a gala reception in Ashgabat on the occasion of the Republic Day of India, Atagulyev noted that the strategic areas of mutually beneficial cooperation are transport and energy, emphasizing the participation of both countries in major international projects, such as the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India (TAPI) gas pipeline and the Central Asia-Middle East and North-South transport corridors.

The Deputy Prime Minister also noted the prospects for cooperation in the field of education and healthcare.

In turn, Indian Ambassador to Ashgabat Madhumita Hazarika Bhagat in an interview with journalists noted the potential for new areas of cooperation, including pharmaceuticals, information technology and artificial intelligence.
