On January 21, a presentation of updated concepts for climate change adaptation projects for the Green Climate Fund took place at the UN building in Ashgabat. "Turkmenistan: Golden Age" reports this.
The work to update the concepts was carried out within the framework of the project of the Ministry of Environmental Protection of Turkmenistan “Development of the national adaptation planning process in Turkmenistan”, carried out with the support of the United Nations Development Program.
The meeting was attended by specialists from the ministries of agriculture, environmental protection, health and medical industry, the State Committee for Water Resources, as well as representatives of the "Turkmen Airlines" Agency.
During the meeting, the final version of the concept of the project “Climate Services for All” was presented, as well as the project concept on ecosystems and measures for adaptation of natural environments, biodiversity.
The event was held with the participation of UNDP international consultants Nikolai Denisov and Viktor Novikov.
The participants also discussed the activities that are planned to be implemented within the framework of the projects.
