Dubai has become the first city in the Middle East to officially launch a drone delivery system. According to the project development plans, by 2033, unmanned couriers will service about 30% of the city’s territory. Drones are capable of transporting small loads weighing up to 2.3 kg, bigasia.ru reports with reference to TimeOut.
Before the official launch of the service, tests were conducted in the city. During the testing, specialists confirmed the full compliance of the new delivery service with all aviation safety requirements. Drones successfully delivered various goods, including food, medicine and other goods, strictly following the specified routes.
The well-known Chinese manufacturer Keeta Drone is responsible for the implementation of the innovative project. The company has impressive experience – its drones have already made over 400,000 successful deliveries along 53 different routes in the largest megacities of China, including Beijing, Guangzhou, Shanghai and Shenzhen. The drones are equipped with a modern multi-sensor positioning system and advanced control algorithms, which allows them to operate effectively in various conditions. Particular attention is paid to the comfort of city residents – the devices are equipped with silent propellers, and also have a built-in parachute safety system.
