The President of Turkmenistan, Supreme Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the country, General of the Army Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the State Security Council, where the results of the activities of the military and law enforcement agencies for January-November of this year were summed up, TDH reports.
The first to speak was the Secretary of the State Security Council, Minister of Defense Begench Gundogdyev, who reported on the practical steps taken since the beginning of the year to strengthen the country’s defense capability, bring the work of subordinate structures in line with the realities of the time through the introduction of a digital system. A report was also made on the appropriate conditions being created for the fruitful service and life of the defenders of the Fatherland, increasing the professionalism of officers, the progress of discharge from the Armed Forces and the next call-up of citizens of Turkmenistan for military service.
Summarizing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov focused on the priority tasks within the framework of the implementation of the Military Doctrine of Turkmenistan, which is purely defensive in nature. In this context, noting the importance of further improvement and development of the country’s Armed Forces, the head of state addressed a number of specific instructions to the Secretary of the State Security Council, the head of the defense department.
Then the heads of the country’s military and law enforcement agencies reported on the work done over 11 months of the current year, the implementation of relevant programs, the introduction of digital systems and measures to improve the work of the structures they lead.
After hearing the reports, the head of state noted that, in accordance with the Military Doctrine, which is purely defensive in nature, Turkmenistan consistently takes measures aimed at ensuring a high level of security and integrity of its country, strengthening its defense capability, as well as improving the social and living conditions of the defenders of the Fatherland and their families.
During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan signed documents on the appointment and dismissal of prosecutors.
A number of issues were also considered at the meeting of the State Security Council, on which relevant decisions were made.
