Ashgabat hosts the international conference and exhibition ‘Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan’ (3-5 November 2024). During the event, Gertner Group CEO Alexander Mitzinger shared the company's plans to develop co-operation with Turkmenistan.
Gertner Group, which has 70 years of experience between the West and the East in the supply of industrial equipment, is already actively developing its presence in the Turkmen market. Over the past two years, the company has successfully implemented a project with the state concern Turkmenhimiya to modernise the main conveyor at the Garabogazcarbamide plant.
‘We are planning to establish a service company together with a well-known German company for conveyor systems to improve the efficiency and sustainability of equipment in Turkmenistan,’ Alexander Mitzinger said.
Gertner Group pays special attention to the construction sector. A new project for the production of fibre cement materials together with Austrian partners will be presented at the conference. This technology offers an innovative alternative to traditional marble, especially relevant for the seismic zone of Turkmenistan. Fibre cement slabs are characterised by lightness and resistance to different temperature conditions.
According to Mr Mitzinger, the company sees significant potential for development in Turkmenistan, especially in the construction sector and the production of building materials.
‘Just 6 months after my first visit to the country at the end of 2022, we have won the first tender to modernise the base of the main conveyor belt of the Garabogazcarbamide plant as well as to supply critical chemicals for production,’ the head of the company stressed.
The international conference will continue until 5 November, providing a platform for the development of business cooperation between international companies and Turkmenistan.
