Russian companies are showing interest in implementing promising projects with Turkmenistan in the areas of e-commerce and transport, in opening direct flights between Astrakhan and Turkmenbashy, and in organizing cruise services on the Caspian Sea, TASS reports with reference to Deputy Head of the Russian Ministry of Economic Development Dmitry Volvach.
According to him, the trade turnover between Russia and Turkmenistan for the first eight months of 2024 increased by 47,9% compared to the same period last year.
Volvach also noted that in order to maintain high growth rates of mutual trade turnover, the Turkmen side was invited to join the agreement on duty-free trade in services in the CIS.
