On October 24, Ashgabat hosted the second day of the OGT 2024 International Conference and Exhibition, bringing together leading experts in the oil and gas industry. The day was filled with important discussions on the future of Turkmen gas and the energy transition.
The key event of the day was a panel discussion on the future of Turkmen natural gas and new export routes, which was attended by representatives of the Turkmengas State Concern, QazaqGaz and international experts. Particular attention was paid to the TAPI gas pipeline project and prospects for entering new markets.
The subsequent sessions discussed issues of natural gas monetization, technological innovations and the role of human capital in the energy transition. Speakers included representatives of the Ministry of Energy of Turkmenistan, the Turkmenhimiya State Concern, international companies and scientific institutes.
The final technical session was devoted to underground gas storage and geothermal energy, where experts exchanged experiences in applying advanced technologies in this area.
The day will conclude with an official dinner for conference participants in the Gul Zaman banquet hall.
