On the evening of October 20, the closing ceremony of the II Theatre Festival of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture was held at the Main Academic Drama Theatre of Turkmenistan named after the Great Saparmurat Turkmenbashy.
As the State News Agency of Turkmenistan reports, the speeches noted that the main goal of the events held within the framework of the implementation of the project “Cultural Capitals of the Turkic World” is to establish cooperation between the Turkic peoples for the preservation and development, and the transfer of common material, cultural and spiritual values to future generations.
The festival participants were awarded diplomas, prizes and memorable gifts.
According to the festival participants, this cultural event made a significant contribution to the popularization of the unique historical and cultural heritage of the Turkic peoples.
Participants of the II Theatre Festival of the member countries of the International Organization of Turkic Culture adopted a thankful address to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, in which they expressed gratitude for his tireless concern for the development of national culture and the creation of favorable conditions for comprehensive creative activity.
On the same day, the 10th meeting of the heads of the theatres of the TURKSOY members took place. Colleagues in the industry discussed modern trends in the development of the theatre, possibilities for further cooperation. As noted, new forms are used today to attract the audience, advanced technologies and achievements of scientific and technical progress are applied, bold experiments are carried out. The past and the present, traditions and innovations, folklore and creative ideas coexist harmoniously on the stage.
The heads of the theaters of the TURKSOY members expressed their sincere gratitude to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for the hospitality provided, the high level of organization of the forum, the creation of favorable conditions for comprehensive creative activity and the strengthening of international contacts in the field of culture and art of the Turkic-speaking peoples.
