On Thursday in Ufa, within the framework of the forum “Russia - a Sports Power”, the start was given to the route of the trophy of the 2025 Games of the Future, which will be held in the UAE. According to TASS, the route of the trophy will cover eight countries: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Iran, Qatar and the UAE.
Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Dmitry Chernyshenko emphasized the importance of this event for the popularization of the phygital movement, which unites eSports and classical sports. He noted that the format of the Future Games, initiated by Russia, has received international recognition and is now developing at the global level.
The first Future Games were held in Kazan from February 21 to March 3 this year, bringing together about 2000 participants from more than 100 countries. Turkmenistan was represented by a team of 15 athletes from the Oguz Khan Engineering and Technology University, who competed in phygital football and phygital basketball.
The next Games are scheduled for 2025 in the UAE, and the third Games will be held in Kazakhstan in 2026.
