On October 10, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, who arrived in Ashgabat for the first time on a state visit, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the participation of the high-ranking guest in the international forum dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the birth of Magtymguly Fragi will give impetus to the further development of bilateral relations in the cultural and humanitarian sphere.
The President of Mongolia noted that his visit will be of great importance in the development of bilateral relations.
Speaking about trade and economic partnership, the interlocutors noted that there are broad opportunities for developing bilateral cooperation in this area. It was noted that it is advisable to intensify effective and mutually beneficial relations in the fuel and energy, transport and communications sectors, and in agriculture.
The enormous potential for further development of cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian areas, in the fields of science and education, sports and tourism were also recognized.
Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov expressed firm confidence that, thanks to joint efforts, friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Mongolia will continue to develop for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
