Today in Ashgabat, in the building of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan, the International Conference “Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the Basis of Peace and Development” began its work. It was organized as part of a large program to celebrate the 300th anniversary of the great Turkmen poet and philosopher Magtymguly Fragi.
A large-scale high-level forum with the participation of the heads of many countries is being held under the chairmanship of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov.
The conference is attended by: President of the Republic of Armenia Vahagn Khachaturyan, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov, President of Mongolia Ukhnaagiin Khurelsukh, President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Asif Ali Zardari, President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin, President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
Guests included: the Chairman of the Grand National Assembly of the Republic of Türkiye, the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation, the Chairman of the General Conference of UNESCO, heads of international organizations, members of foreign governments, famous scientists, cultural figures and diplomats.
The main goals of the international conference are to popularize the classical heritage of Magtymguly Fragi, to study the relationship between the languages and literatures of the peoples of the East, his role in the development of national statehood, and the contribution of the humanist poet to the treasury of universal spiritual values, reports the State News Agency of Turkmenistan.
