The Turkmenistan U17 youth football team won a confident victory over the Azerbaijani team with a score of 3:0 at the international tournament in Erzurum, Türkiye. The second round match of the competition was held on October 2 at the “Yuksek Irtifa” training base, FFT reports.
The tournament, organized by the Turkish Football Federation, brought together teams from five Turkic-speaking countries and the invited Georgian team. In the first round, Ahmed Allaberdiyev's team lost to Türkiye with a score of 0:3.
This tournament is an important stage in preparation for the 2025 Asian Cup qualifying matches, which will be held from October 23 to 27 in Thailand. In group “D”, the Turkmenistan national team will meet with the teams of Thailand, India and Brunei.
