The Italian education system is preparing for radical changes in the fight against inappropriate behavior of students. According to information published in The Guardian, the country's government has developed a set of strict measures aimed at increasing respect for teachers and improving discipline in schools, writes “Vechernyaya Moskva”.

The key innovation will be the possibility of imposing significant monetary fines on violators. For aggression or violence against school staff, students and their families will have to pay from 500 to 10 000 euros.

In addition, school principals will be given expanded powers to expel students for unacceptable behavior. A behavioral assessment system has been introduced for middle and high school students that will directly affect their academic fate. If a student receives less than five points for behavior, he or she will be forced to repeat the school year, regardless of their performance in the subjects.

These innovations reflect the determination of the Italian authorities to restore the authority of teachers and create a more favorable learning environment. This approach is expected to not only improve discipline, but also enhance the quality of education in general, creating an atmosphere of mutual respect between students and teachers.
