The National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov was presented with new international awards awarded to the city of Arkadag. This was reported by the information program «Watan».
On September 4 this year, the city of Arkadag was awarded three awards at the international exhibition «2024 World Smart City Expo» held in the city of Goyang, Republic of Korea. The awards were presented to cities and companies that stood out among the participants of the exhibition in various categories. It should be especially noted that the city of Arkadag was the first among the participants to receive these awards.
At the World Smart City Expo, the city of Arkadag was awarded the following three awards:
- Smart City Excellence Award;
- Foreign Smart City Award;
- Award for significant contribution to the international exhibition «World Smart City Expo 2024» (WSCE 2024 Contribution Award).
Chairman of the State Committee for Construction of the city of Arkadag under the President of Turkmenistan D. Orazov expressed gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people for the historical events that the Turkmen delegation witnessed during its working visit to the Republic of Korea. He also said that the pavilion of the city of Arkadag at the international exhibition aroused great interest among all participants.
