A number of teachers of the Turkmen State University named after Magtymguly completed language training in Italy and Germany.

As reported in the Neutral Turkmenistan newspaper, a group of teachers from the Department of Romance-Germanic Languages at TSU, consisting of Kumush Myradova, Durjemal Nuryagdyeva and Aysoltan Agamyradova, completed three weeks of training at the University for Foreigners, located in the city of Perugia, Italian Republic.

As part of the curriculum, the importance of developing competencies in the field of multilingualism and the features of interaction during study for the entire audience of students were discussed. One of the classes, organized on the topic “Online Italian language courses in the virtual world: L2/LS AIDI project,” revealed the features of targeted training programs used to create educational videos, including using artificial intelligence. The overall cycle of targeted training sessions ended with topics such as “Linguistic Assessment and Technology” and “Assessment using Digital Tools”, during which the features and significance of the CELI and CILS educational courses initiated by the University of Perugia were examined, as well as types of student assessment through digital systems.

The cultural program was also very interesting, which included excursions and at the same time was aimed at improving Italian language skills and a deeper understanding of the traditions of the Italian people.

TSU teachers intend to use the knowledge acquired in this course in their subsequent university classes in such subjects as “Theory and Methods of Teaching the Italian Language”, “History of the Italian Language”, “History”, “Italian Literature”.

A teacher at the Department of Romance-Germanic Languages at TSU named after Magtymguly, Myakhrijemal Nazarova, took part in advanced training courses for studying the German language on the topic “Language, regional studies and cultural life.” This special course took place over two weeks at the Goethe Institute in Berlin. The courses examined the features of regional studies and discussed various methods of teaching the German language through media resources.

One of the classes was held in the working conditions of a local museum, which directly dictated the topic of the educational lesson itself – “Assessing a museum: methodological reflection – the importance of the museum in regional studies.”

In another lesson on the topic “Knowing the country and culture through music,” there were discussions about the importance and role of listening to music in teaching the German language. For these purposes, a visit to the Berlin Museum of Musical Instruments was organized for the internship participants. In the same vein, under the mentorship of a local artist, a lesson was held on the topic “Teaching regional studies and culture through graphics and visualization.”

The training program also included a visit to the studio of the German TV channel ZDF, where the internship participants were involved as spectators in the filming of the Good Morning program.

Teachers from France, Argentina, the USA, Romania, Egypt, Spain, Mexico, the People's Republic of China and Hungary also took part in the language training internship.

The training program was supplemented by educational excursions, during which participants visited local attractions and were introduced to a number of historical monuments.
