“In order to expand tourist exchange, we propose to study the issue of mutual recognition of national ID cards and the development of mass tourism products on the principle of ‘One tour – the whole region’,” Mirziyoyev said.

The President of Uzbekistan emphasized that the tourism sector is becoming a new driver of regional partnership in Central Asia.

It Is worth noting that a similar system is already in effect between Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. From September 1, 2023, citizens of these two countries can use ID cards to enter, exit, move and stay in the territory of both states.
