Dutch companies are planning to organize an agricultural mission to Turkmenistan in response to the successful visit of the Turkmen delegation to Amsterdam in June this year. This became known during a meeting between Turkmen Ambassador Sapar Palvanov and Mohammad Reza Mashadi, managing director of the international organization East-West Trade, which assists Dutch companies in developing international business in the agricultural sector.

According to Mohammad Reza Mashadi, after the June forum on the Turkmen market, the number of Dutch companies interested in exploring opportunities for cooperation with Turkmenistan has increased significantly. The main activities of the planned mission will be green greenhouses, environmentally friendly technologies and grain crops.

The preliminary program of the visit includes meetings with representatives of the private sector and government departments of Turkmenistan responsible for the agricultural sector, a forum, presentations and lectures at Turkmen universities, as well as visits to specialized facilities.

This initiative is a continuation of the dialogue that began during the visit of the Turkmen delegation to Amsterdam, where advanced technologies in agriculture, in particular, water-saving methods and ways to reduce methane emissions, were discussed. These topics are especially relevant in the context of climate change and Turkmenistan's international commitments to reduce its environmental footprint.

The organization of such mutual missions helps strengthen bilateral relations between Turkmenistan and the Netherlands, opening up new prospects for cooperation in the agricultural sector and other areas of the economy.
