Speaking at a meeting of heads of delegations in the SCO+ format in Astana, National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov said that Turkmenistan sees the SCO as a significant and promising partner, TDH reports.
“Turkmenistan, which is not the first time taking part as an honored guest in the meetings of the Organization, perceives this status as a sign of respect and an indicator of a high level of trust and openness towards our country, the desire to develop close partnerships with it,” emphasized Chairman Halk Maslahaty.
This approach fully meets the intentions of Turkmenistan, noted the National Leader of the Turkmen people, emphasizing that cooperation with the SCO meets national interests and can significantly and positively influence the course and direction of regional processes and contribute to the stabilization of the international situation.
“Our country is linked by deep historical ties, geographic proximity, common values and worldview with the peoples and states that are members of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization and work with it. Today, this is complemented by mutual interest in the economy, trade, investment, and technology,” said the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan.
