1. Early voting has begun in Ashgabat for the elections of Mejlis deputies in the districts: Garaşsyzlyk, Bitaraplyk Köpetdag. According to the Election Code, citizens can vote 10 days before the main election day if they are unable to attend on July 7. This applies to those who go on business trips, vacations or for other reasons will not be able to visit their polling station on voting day. The Central Election Commission of Turkmenistan reports that all 60 polling stations in three districts are fully prepared. 4. The “Turkmenhowayollary” Agency reports a planned increase in the number of regular flights on the Ashgabat-Jeddah route from August 2024. This decision was made in connection with the growing demand for international passenger transportation and is aimed at expanding the geography of flights, as well as increasing transit passenger traffic. According to information published on the agency's official website, flights will operate twice a week - on Wednesdays and Fridays.
5. On June 28, Ashgabat will host a famous musical group from Russia. The State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Tatarstan will give a concert at the Mukams Palace of the State Cultural Center of Turkmenistan. The artistic director and chief conductor of the orchestra, People's Artist of Russia Alexander Sladkovsky, will stand at the conductor's stand. The event is scheduled to start at 19:00.
6. Chairman of the Board of the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan Rahimberdy Jepbarov took part in the third annual Development Forum in Vienna, organized by the OPEC Fund for International Development. During the Forum, negotiations were held with the President of the OPEC Fund. The parties discussed issues of further development and strengthening of long-term cooperation.
