The Consulate of Turkmenistan in Germany held an international scientific conference

On June 21, the Consulate of Turkmenistan in Germany held an international scientific conference in Frankfurt am Main to celebrate the 300th anniversary of Magtymguly Fragi.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, the event was attended by representatives of the State Chancellery of the federal state of Hesse and Frankfurt, diplomatic missions accredited in the state of Hesse, creative intelligentsia and scientists, representatives of the Turkmen diaspora, and student youth.

To participate in the event, a Turkmen delegation led by the director of the Magtymguly Institute of Language, Literature and National Manuscripts of the Academy of Sciences of Turkmenistan D. Orazsahedov visited Frankfurt on a working visit.

Within the framework of the conference was held a presentation of the books of the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov “Youth - the support of the Motherland” and “Anau - culture from the depths of millennia”, as well as a new collection of poems by Magtymguly in German.

During the event, poems by Magtymguly Fragi were recited, and videos dedicated to the work of the outstanding Turkmen classic and the development of Turkmenistan as a whole were shown.

Within the framework of their stay in Germany, the delegation of Turkmenistan, which included representatives of the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Culture, the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Television, Radio Broadcasting and Cinematography, held a meeting with the Chairman of the Frankfurt City Council, Ms. Hilime Arslaner. During the meeting, ways to develop bilateral ties in the cultural and humanitarian sphere were discussed, including the possibility of organizing joint cultural events in Frankfurt.
